@frankie
Don't be an idiot, where to buy a fish is one of the first things an aquarist should consider. The level of care a fish has received, and the way it has been raised, prior to buying it from a retail store, matters just as much as what you do when you get it home.

Fsh Fanatic Staff,

We are interested in advertising on your site. Can you please forward us a pricing scheme for advertising costs? Here is our site:

www.directaquarium.com

We are an aquarium tank supply site, much like Marine Depot. Our site is growing and has about a fraction of the content that they offer. However, we are adding new content daily, about to add a blog, adding over 400 new products in the next week and attempting to offer the lowest prices possible for our customers. We would greatly appreciate an opportunity to advertise with your site.

Kind regards,

Anthony Krueger
Co-Owner
Direct Aquarium, LLC.

I worked for some time in a large aquarium shop and we used to have a whole room of quarantine tanks for new fish that the owner bought in. I can assure you the tanks saved out bacon on several occasions when a supplier sent in fish that harboured a problem so it is well worth considering such a small investment if you're serious about your hobby.

Thanks for this informative article. l just bought me a 48g rimless tank and well lt's going to have a jungle look to it with sanded substrate and l wanted to like a school of them maybe like 20 or so and try my hand at breeding them if possible. l pretty much read all l wanted to in your story. They sort of resemble cherry barbs but like 1/2 the size. l know they will stick out in my tank. l'm not sure if you posted it but how do they get along with rcs? l was aiming at keeping them with rcs and some other micro rasbora types of fish like the celestial pearl danio and such but l wanted to make sure they're compatible. thanks again!

My father should read this, we have been mantaining a war about that matter for years.

I am gonna send him a link to your blog, maybe in that way he would realize that an acuarium is a minienviroment not a circus where you can put together many different colors in the same time.

Since I flew away from the nest I don´t have acuarium, but anyway this blog has been a nice discovery to me. hope to be able one day to have one again.

congratulations for your blog.

I have a puffer who has begun to curl his tail against his body. In addition, he will not eat (it's been 2 days), appears to be gray all the time, is labored in his breathing, and does little other than lay on the gravel. A few of my levels were high, and that has been since corrected. However, there is no change in his behavior. Help?
